Preschool is continuing to provide parents with activities to complete at home with their child.
We will be posting up weekly activities on the 6 areas of learning which continues on with learning we would have provided in preschool.

Parents can do a lot to encourage higher order thinking. Here are some questions to help foster children's complex thinking. Higher order thinking (HOT) is thinking on a level that is higher than memorising facts or telling something back to someone exactly the way it was told to you.

These questions are good to use after a story, film or TV programme you have watched together.

"I wonder......."

"What would happen if....."

"What would you do........?"

"What do you suppose .....?"

"How did the story make you feel?"

"What was your favourite part?"

"Was there anything that surprised you?"
